Hanging Basket Sale News
I thought you would like to know that in spite of all the restrictions in place, Canadian Tire is going ahead with the Hanging Basket sale to benefit the library again this year.
Of course Canadian Tire is still under restrictions because of COVID-19, and none of us want to have people put themselves at risk crowding in to get their baskets.
So, they have generously decided that they will donate $1 to the library for every hanging basket sold through the whole month of May - and they will be getting stock in all through the month.
I have just heard that they have already had deliveries from two growers and will have at least 1,000 baskets in stock before the weekend! These baskets are gorgeous! Varieties include Geranium, Petunia, Million Bell, Fuchsia and Mixed baskets and more are coming.
The Canadian Tire Garden Centre is now open to the public to choose your baskets!
This year we will be unable to run our other planned fundraisers, so we especially appreciate your support for this one. Please get your hanging baskets - any size - at Canadian Tire this May to support our library.
We will try to put out word of new varieties through the library social media.
