Since climbing is allowed (11 May) for climbers living less than 100 kilometers from the forest, it has been extremely crowded in the forest. Everyone should act and behave responsibly during their visits to the forest. Please respect the recommendations and guidelines of the public health authorities: no groups of more than ten people while respecting social distancing (please avoid crowded areas). The permission to climb depends on the behavior of the climbers.

Especially during weekends several parkings were packed and many parked their cars on the roads. This is not allowed because it creates dangerous situations. The forest is very dry and the risk of fires has increased. Rescue workers need quick access and thus some roads and parkings have been closed for the public. Fires of any kind are not allowed! Because of the risk of fires all bivouacs are closed until further notice as well.

Climbing conditions have been great for months now and many hard problems have seen repeats or did get a first ascent.
Theo Imbertie repeated Tostaky (assis) 8b in Éléphant Nord, Jeremy Bonder repeated Satan i Helvete 8b+ in Coquibus Longs Vaux.
Oriane Bertone (15) repeated six 8a's and À Lay's Blaise (gauche assis) 8a+ in Franchard Sablons Carriers, Kaïken 8a+ in Gros Sablons, Big Bang 8a+ in Buthiers Canard, Partage 8a+ in Buthiers Piscine and Fata Morgana (départ bas) 8a+, Fata i Helvete 8b, Satan i Helvete 8b+ and Satan i Helvete (départ bas) 8c in Coquibus Longs Vaux. The last one (video) Oriane actually re-opened after a hold broke in 2013. This must be the most impressive ticklist (video, video) achieved by a female climber in Fontainebleau ever. Her younger brother Max had some fun too as you can see in this video.
