SAFETY CONCERNS
We would like to keep drop-off donations to a minimum.  Our volunteers are awesome & to protect them we want to limit the amount of extra handling & sorting they need to do during the pandemic. The Food Bank places a weekly order with the grocery store  to re-stock our inventory.

We will accept drop off food on Tuesdays from 11am-12.

During Covid 19
We expect to see increased need for the balance of 2020.  These are uncertain times & quite unpredictable but we are in it together.

The Oilfields Food Bank remains open. We are 100% volunteer-driven.

Cash donations to help us purchase what is needed are very welcome.
We now accept donations online.

Cheques may be mailed to:
Oilfields Food Bank
Box 1318, Turner Valley, AB T0L 2A0
Hamper Pickups
during the pandemic.
As always we are open Tuesdays from 1-3 for food hampers.
Clients may use the food bank twice a month during the pandemic.

How to request a hamper:

online at our website oilfieldsfoodbank.com
or give us a call @ 403-612-1291 - the line will be open for hamper requests on Mondays from 9-5 and Tuesdays from 9-2pm.

You will be given a pickup time & your hamper will be placed outside for you to load into your vehicle.

Sharon Herriman (L)
Ida Wegelin (R)
Rest in Peace

Turner Valley & District Food Bank Association began operation in 1983 under the guidance of the Okotoks Food Bank.  Ida Wegelin (our founding member) was the catalyst for establishing help for the hungry.     Ida passed away on January 11th. We wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for her extreme dedication to those  around her.

Sharon Herriman rarely missed a Tuesday at the Food Bank.  She was a dedicated volunteer for more than 20 years.  Her gentle manner & kind nature put everyone at ease.  Sharon passed away on May 8th.    We are grateful she chose our Food Bank as the place to give back to her community.

Our condolences to both their families & many friends.
