OH12 (Virtual) Postcard Party Tonight
Join OH12 members for our second postcard party via Zoom, 6-8pm, 5/13. You have options for what kind of cards you want to write:

Write to likely Democratic voters who have moved recently but not yet updated their voter registrations. Email Jenny Yoder at yoder_jenny@yahoo.com to get addresses.
Write for a candidate. Email Mia at mialewis34@gmail.com to arrange to pick up cards & addresses for Nancy Day-Achauer, running to flip Ohio House District 23. (There will be cards for other candidates, and more pick up locations coming soon.)
Write Postcards to Voters! If you haven't written for PTV yet, sign up first at https://postcardstovoters.org/volunteer/. If you need postcards, email Sara at sampson.8@gmail.com for info on how to pick some up from her house.
Write Vote Forward letters. These letters to motivate voters are being written and stockpiled to be mailed out closer to the election. It's a combined effort from Vote Forward, Swing Left, Indivisible and other organizations, and they're calling it the "Big Send." Get more info, sign up, and download letters to print HERE.

Keeping Count of Our Activism

Times are strange. A lot of our usual forms of activism are not available to us at the moment -- but we're still staying active and reaching out to voters. We've set a new goal of contacting 5000 voters in the next month. That's via postcard, text, phone call, or letter. Add a comment on this Facebook post to tell us what you've been up to, and how many people you've contacted. Not on Facebook? Reply to this email and let us know.

OH12 Monthly Leadership Meetings

Did you know that Indivisible OH12 has an open meeting on the second Monday of every month? At the moment the meetings are virtual, which means they're easier to join than ever! Last night around 20 of us gathered to brainstorm ideas for continuing voter engagement in the COVID era. You can see our meeting notes HERE, and remember, you are always welcome to join! Look for the June 8 meeting announcement in the Upcoming Events section in a week or two.

Wednesday, 5/13: Rep Liston Tele-Townhall, 7-8pm. "Join me for my weekly virtual townhall. I will talk about Coronavirus and our state government. You can submit questions in advance to ListonForOhio@gmail.com. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions at the event. Register HERE, and see you there!"

Thursday, 5/14: Thursday Action Group Zoom Meeting, 12-1pm. Join the meeting by Zoom at this link.

Thursday, 5/14: Let's Talk Health Care Reform, 7-8pm. Hosted by ACA Consumer Advocacy. "As we see the many problems with our health care system highlighted during the pandemic, it is a perfect time to discuss health care reform, what it is, what is needed, and proposed ideas to get us there. Join us online for this Facebook Live event."

Thursday, 5/28: Gerrymandering and Ohio Video Forum, 7-8:30pm. Cosponsored by Common Cause Ohio and LWV-Greater Cleveland. "In 2021, district lines will be redrawn. What can we expect in Ohio and nationally from the census delay and results, and their impact on #FairMaps. Watch national and local experts share their concerns and perspectives. With Michael Li, Brennan Center For Justice; Kathay Feng, National Redistricting Director, Common Cause US; Jen Miller, Exec Director LWV-Ohio; Catherine Turcer, Exec Director, Common Cause Ohio will moderate.
