Description: Join the team from Colorado Community Colleges Online (CCCOnline) to discover how they leverage process workflow management and project tracking software to manage online course development. Attendees will learn general facts about business process modeling to identify key states, transitions and workflow in the course development process that can be built out in software for stakeholder use. Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and the Jira Workflow Management tool will be introduced. The presenters will also demonstrate Dashboards and Kanban Boards to show how the same data is communicated in different ways based on stakeholder needs.

Presenters: Steve Rothenberg, Project Manager and Project Management Educator, and Grace Whiteaker, Senior Instructional Designer
Steve Rothenberg
Steve Rothenberg is a project manager and project management educator who recently retired as project and product implementation manager for CCCOnline. Steve still teaches project management for CCCOnline and using QM principles, acts as both the instructional designer and subject matter expert when creating his courses. He is a QM-Certified Peer Reviewer, and has begun consulting with other community colleges on establishing process and workflow management systems.
Grace Whiteaker
Grace Whiteaker is an instructional designer for CCCOnline, a centralized department within the Colorado Community College System that creates and delivers online courses. She brings a varied background to the position, including experience as a librarian, project manager, news photojournalist, coffee barista, lecturer, information and adrenaline junkie, and world traveler. Grace is also a QM-Certified Peer Reviewer and thrives on course design, process design and improvement, workflow, and organization.
