We'll Be At Waverly Farmers Market This Saturday, May 16 -- What You Need to Know

We will return again this week to serve you safely at the 32nd Street Market in Waverly. Per the Governor's order, we will wear masks or cloth face coverings, and will ask you to do the same. To keep you and our farmers safe from the coronavirus, we will be setting up our stand with 6 feet of table space between our farmers and our customers. We ask that you maintain 6 feet of distance and will be placing signage and markers on the ground to show you where to stand at a safe distance. We are bagging and pre-packaging and labeling all produce and will not be handling or allowing customers to handle produce. We will be sanitizing all surfaces and hands between every customer. We will ask you to let us know your order so that our farmers can select and bag your items. For this, we will have signage listing all available items. We expect and hope this will be an easy, quick process so that you can purchase the nutrient-dense, naturally-grown produce our member farms harvested this week. DELICIOUS BALTIMORE GROWN VEGGIES WE EXPECT TO BRING TO MARKET INCLUDE:
  • vegetable and herb seedlings for your home garden
  • honey
  • Arugula
  • Pea shoots
  • Leeks
  • Swiss chard
  • Radishes
  • Lettuce mix
  • Beets
  • Carrots
  • Kale, curly and dinosaur types
  • Mustard and dandelion greens
  • Herbs such as parsley, chives, sage and cilantro

Please bring exact cash or a credit card for your purchase. Credit cards may be swiped and then sanitized, with the smartphone being sanitized between uses. We cannot accept bills larger than $20 at the market!

For everyone's sake, please DO NOT come to the market if you are feeling at all sick. Even a little bit.

QUESTIONS? Email us directly at info@farmalliancebaltimore.org. We will do our best to get back to you within 24 hours.

Community Cooking Demonstrations are Happening--on Facebook!

Our wonderful community partner, Chef Crystal Forman of Holistic Wellness and Health, is back -- only instead of using her mobile kitchen, she is giving daily 5pm cooking demonstrations on Facebook Live video in her home kitchen, using fresh in-season produce from our member farms. Please join us for one of these upcoming demonstrations for an enjoyable, informative learning experience.  You can also tune in to see her previously recorded demonstrations!

Please check our Farm Alliance of Baltimore Facebook page for additional dates and details about community cooking demonstrations and other events. Addresses of all our member farms can be found on our website.
Thank you to all of our volunteers, donors, and supporters who feed us, compost with us, garden with us, donate books and artwork, and give generously of their energy and money to support our work. We are grateful and excited to be growing in our ninth year with you!
