This past weekend, students from the Breakfast Around the World morning cooking program met for a live online class where they made green onion pancakes together! Click here for the recipe, which students (and Coach Antoine) have consistently ranked as their favorite each of the last five semesters. Green onion pancakes are a staple of the street food scene in Taiwan, the island where Ms. Joyce's parents grew up. You can watch a Taiwanese sidewalk vendor making them to order here.

HMCRA gives you the opportunity to provide feedback about your child as one part of our process of assigning classrooms for all our students. The goal of the HMCRA faculty is to balance the classrooms and provide the optimal learning environment for each child in our school.
If you wish, please fill out the Parent/Guardian Input Form and No Request Policy here.

The last full week of school (May 26-29, Monday is a holiday) teachers will be conducting individual conferences with parents and guardians. During this time, they are not expected to hold live classes on Zoom or Google Classroom, although your teacher may choose to continue to meet with your students and classes. Teachers will provide students with independent work for that week.
Please expect your teacher to reach out to you to schedule these conferences to discuss your child's progress and report card. Report cards will not have grades for this trimester but they will have comments from your teacher. The last day of school remains June 2, 2020.

We are attempting to take advantage of this shift to all things digital and collect the information that we usually collect via the physical emergency cards that we send out at the beginning of the year and provide a digital form for each family to complete, one per family. This information is very valuable and necessary for the office and teachers to have access to. Please click here to complete the form. It should take less than 10 minutes and will save dozens of volunteer hours inputting them into spreadsheets!
