Yogaveda Wellness Subscriber, We are very happy and grateful to be in the fortunate position here in WA that we can open the Yoga studio from Monday May 18th! We can’t wait to have you back in the studio very soon.

The Ayurveda Studio will also be open for Ayurvedic treatments & consultations. Please be mindful of others wellbeing & do not come to classes or appointments if you feel at all unwell.

As we have moved into the cooler Autumn months, we need to take extra care and build up our immune system to prepare for winter. Our Yogaveda shop has a great range of cleansing and immune boosting formula's to keep you well.

YOGA STUDIO OPEN

We are excited to announce that due to the easing of COVID restrictions the Yoga Centre will reopen for in-house classes from Monday May 18th!

We are very fortunate to have a lovely big space to allow for social distancing between mats & if we all continue strict hygiene practices within the studio it will keep everyone safe & well.

Please bring your own clean yoga equipment & towel, otherwise you are welcome to use ours & sanitise before use.

We will continue to offer a few online zoom classes for those who choose to yoga at home. We are currently in the process of putting together in-house & online timetables. Please check our website for class times.

AYURVEDIC STUDIO OPEN

The Ayurvedic Studio is also now open for bookings for Ayurvedic consultations and treatments, Marmapuncture & Sound Healing Massage
As the season changes and the weather gets cooler we need to prepare ourselves for winter by detoxing our digestive system of accumulated metabolic waste – ama. A healthy digestive system supports a healthy immunity because 70 per cent of our immunity is located in our gut. The stronger our immunity the more we able to overcome seasonal colds & flus, viruses and infections.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR WELLBEING

With so much change going on around us, maintaining our health & wellbeing practices are essential to keep us going. Our daily wellness routines are supportive structures to keep us grounded & balanced. This is the time to really take care of our mind-body health.

1. Meditation
Start your day with some quiet meditation time to establish stillness in the mind & create a positive mindset for the day. Meditation helps your mind to become still, focussed & one pointed. This will allow the nervous system to settle & the busy thinking mind to become quiet. A relaxed mind creates calm & clarity to start the day.

2. Acceptance
Learn to accept change, especially at this time when things are out of our control, & realise the impermanence of life. The part we can control is our reaction to these changes & looking for the positive amongst the uncertainty. Learn to move with the flow of life & resist the urge to react with negative emotions like frustration & anger.

3. Gratitude
Gratitude comes when we shift our perspective to focus on what we have in our life & not what we don’t have. The more grateful you are the more you attract things to be grateful for. The current COVID-19 crisis has highlighted for many how important the simple things in life are. We now have a new appreciation for the gift of good health, fresh air, access to good quality food, nature & the company of friends, family & community.

4. Loving Kindness
During this time that we have restrictions in our daily living & are facing our respective challenges, it is important to be kind to ourselves & also to extend kindness to others. Reaching out to others with care & compassion is incredibly comforting, and important especially for those feeling lonely & isolated. Love & care nourishes not only the one who receives it but also the one who gives.
