Soumya Pourhit, Science Gateways Community Institute Summer Intern
CUAHSI is pleased to welcome our Science Gateways Community Institute summer intern, Soumya Pourhit. Soumya is a M.S. student at the University of Missouri, Rolla. Soumya, who received her undergraduate degree in Information Technology from Banasthali University, has experience with Python, Jupyterhub, and Docker, and currently is working on Blockchain for Threat Intelligence Sharing. She will help us expand CUAHSI's Compute and Modeling activities and will work closely with Tony Castronova beginning June 1, continuing through August 14. Soumya interned with At&T in Summer 2019. We are excited to welcome Soumya and are hopeful that circumstances allow us to actually meet her in person later this summer.

CUAHSI's Data Down Low
HydroShare Updates
We recently released several updates to HydroShare in the last few weeks. The most notable changes are:
- Completed migration of distinct resource types to composite resources with aggregated files. All data is now stored as one resource type that can contain different file types.
- Improved layout and loading speed for the Groups landing page.
- Updated and corrected Quota calculation.
- Added capability to a owner of a resource to edit and delete comments.
- Infrastructure improvements to improve reliability and removed data inconsistencies.

CyberGIS-Jupyter for Water Quarterly Release Announcement
Dear HydroShare Users,
We are pleased to announce a new quarterly release of CyberGIS-Jupyter for Water (CJW) platform at https://go.illinois.edu/cybergis-jupyter-water. This release includes new capabilities and improvements as follows:
- Geoanalytics suite of GRASS for model pre/post-processingl
- PostGIS database for GIS data management and query;
- Support Landlab earth surface modelling toolkit;
- Several enhancements to job submission middleware, system security as well as service infrastructure.

Hydrologic Information System (HIS) Updates
- A new HIS Data service from the Florida Coastal Everglades (FCE) LTER Program is now available in HydroClient. Please take a look here.
- An updated version of the Water-ML R library available from the cran repository here. This library enables easy access to the timeseries data in HIS through R. Check it out!

Let's Talk About Water Challenge Grant
About:
Let's Talk About Water (LTAW) promotes water and earth science education by using the film and panel discussions to engage audiences and encourage critical thinking. The Challenge Grant program helps support universities in the development of their own Let's Talk About Water science outreach events by awarding universities up to $3,000 to support the development and execution of their own Let's Talk About Water Events.
