The need here is critical in EVERY way! HAITI is facing a humanitarian crisis.

Dear friends,

Thank you, thank you, for your continuing emails of concern and support! It is just so encouraging to hear from you and know that you are praying for The Beehive Haiti team, as well as all those we are trying to help every day. This is a desperate time for the USA, and certainly for the impoverished country of Haiti. We need your help now more than ever before. Who could you write today to ask them to donate to our work? Could your church family take on a project? The need here is critical in every way. Most people do not have food, water or sanitation privileges. The country is facing a humanitarian crisis.

We now have a daily curfew from 8pm to 5am. This is definitely for the best, but as stores reduce their available hours, it makes it even more difficult to purchase needed supplies. Our currency, the goude, has dropped 20% in the last few months, so now the hard-to-find food items cost even more.

Masks are required everywhere, police presence has greatly increased, and people are becoming more and more desperate and on edge leading to more civil unrest. Traffic is horrific – I spent 7 hours going only a few miles just this week. We have a serious trash problem and now major flooding – the combination is lethal. We are working every day to prepare the hospital for the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. It is virtually impossible to implement proper social distancing in the densely packed neighborhoods of Port-au-Prince.

Your financial support is providing a literal lifeline as we care for the critical needs of so many. Many times, I feel we have taken on too much and then your donation arrives and doors are opened again. I believe a time is coming soon when all the money we have set aside will be of little consequence – now is the time to use what we have been trusted with to advance the work of God in a dark world. Let us be your hands and feet here in Haiti. Help us help them.
