Underneath Trump’s thin orange skin lives an acutely insecure man-child suffering from delusions of grandeur and masquerading as President of what was once the most respected and trusted nation in the world. 

By perverting the teachings in Norman Vincent Peale’s book The Power of Positive Thinking, our country is being led by a third-rate leader who is in over his head and oblivious about how to handle the worse crisis in a century.

With his father’s wealth and positive thinking he created a worldwide empire (house of cards) riddled with bankruptcies, loan defaults, bad credit, unpaid bills, fraud, and a well-deserved bad reputation. 

Thinking that if Jerry Falwell could create Liberty University to train a generation of right-wing evangelicals, he could create a fraudulent Trump University to train anyone aspiring to become a fraud.

Taking the power of positive thinking into the gutter, he convinced enough anti-immigrant voters to believe in a slogan (MAGA) rooted in lies, deception, bigotry, hate speech, and contempt for the rule of law to elect him President.

Trump is a mental midget who knows he’s in over his head but has to think positively. In a recent delusional state, he claimed to have the “total authority,” to order all 50 states to reopen on Easter Sunday. This was a pathetic attempt to make evangelicals think he cared about church services.

Last week, in another delusional moment, he said he would order all churches to reopen on Sunday. Said he would override governors who defied his orders, though he can’t legally do it. Many churches did reopen. Soon we’ll know how many were infected and may eventually die. 

Americans are on their own. We are a nation with a delusional leader who talks but doesn’t know, surrounded by people who know but aren’t allowed to talk. He comforts himself in the death of 100,000 Americans by blaming others and believes he saved millions of lives by doing nothing.

Thinking positively is not enough. You need to be stable enough to know what needs to done and do it. That will save millions of lives, and possibly the nation.
