Stories about the food we don't eat...

Welcome to Issue 28

We're so thrilled with our latest projects that we've issued two media releases since our last newsletter! One features Swisse Wellness and Swinburne University of Technology transforming wine by-products into premium nutraceutical products. The second is a study on household food waste here in Adelaide with seven metropolitan councils through East Waste, Green Industries SA and The University of Adelaide. We are looking forward to some great results from both of these projects.

Every year at the CRC Association conference, an eminent Australian gives the Ralph Slatyer Address on Science and Society in honour of Australia’s first Chief Scientist and instigator of the CRC Program. This year it was broadcast by the National Press Club featuring Professor Tanya Monro, Australia's first female Chief Defence Scientist. Professor Monro delivered a fantastic address to highlight the importance of physics, raising the profile of science in schools and some personal insights from her incredible journey. Watch the address on ABC iview.
