Promise Keeper -- Our Faithful God

We hope you'll join us this Sunday morning at 10:45 for our Sunday service as we begin our new series, "Promise Keeper -- Our Faithful God."  This Sunday's message is, "The Promise of Power."

Our kids also have an online service of their own at 10 AM on Facebook and YouTube, and we have a Youth Live service at 11 AM on Sundays on Instagram under awaken_vineyard..

Continuing on the theme of "Promise Keeper -- Our Faithful God," be with us Monday through Friday, June 1-5, at 9 AM for our Daily Devotionals. We hope that you can take advantage of hearing and meditating on the Word of God daily.

New Blog Post
Vineyard Update from Pastor Jimmy:
Regathering for Church Services

Last week we sent you, our church family and friends, an update from Pastor Jimmy on our plans going forward for regathering at the church for in-person services.  You can read the letter here on our website and learn more.

Your Thoughts Please...
We also ask that you fill out our survey to see what our church family’s thoughts are in regard to regathering. Please go to vvinfo.org/survey and fill out the survey by THIS Saturday, May 30.

We're Ready To Go--Are You Ready to Serve?
Preparations are underway to open the VV Drive-Thru Food Pantry next Thursday, June 4, at 11 AM for staging, and then serving at about noon.  Dates and details are as follows:

  1. We will meet this Saturday, May 30, at 2 PM for about an hour for orientation and training.  This meeting will be IN PERSON at the Vineyard, 6642 Reseda Blvd.  We will wear masks and gloves and practice prudent distancing.  This will be a dry run in preparation for the real thing. If you are interested in serving at the food pantry, please plan to attend this meeting.
After the orientation meeting, we will pack the bags of non-perishables for distribution the following Thursday.
  1. Our first food distribution day is Thursday, June 4.  We will give out bags of food and practice safety procedures to ensure that our staff and clients are kept safe during the drive-thru process.  Please arrive at 11 AM for setup and staging.  We will direct people to line up at our distribution station and start distributing groceries around noon.
  2. We need one or more volunteers to solicit donations from local businesses – markets, pizza places, Target and Walmart stores, etc.  Please consider volunteering for this.  It shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours a week.  Contact Kevin to discuss if you’re interested.
  3. Above all, please pray for this new venture.  The VV has prayerfully considered how we can be a blessing to our neighbors during this time.  We believe that God is in this, and we pray for his continued direction and favor.

Contact Kevin Grable for more information and/or to volunteer:

Manna Ministry
This will be a companion ministry to our ongoing Manna Food Bank, which continues to operate on Saturdays and always welcomes donations of nonperishable food items: pasta, pasta sauce, boxed macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, canned veggies, canned fruit, canned meats, cereal, nonperishable milk, etc.  You can drop these off during office hours, Tuesday - Friday, 10 AM-3 PM.

Valley Vineyard Helpline
We care about our Vineyard Family and want to be available.  We have a helpline and team ready to reach out.  Call us or text the word HELPLINE to 818-776-9696 if you need help with getting groceries or picking up prescriptions. You can also go to vvinfo.org/helpline to reach us.

Live Phone Stream--A way for all "To Attend"

We are excited about a new service we are offering people who do not have internet at home. They can still join in and enjoy the Sunday services through a mobile phone or home landline. Simply dial the toll free number 844-988-8814 at 10:45 AM on Sundays. They can also call in advance and press 1 to get a call when the Sunday service goes live. If they miss the service at the time when it is live, they will still be able to listen to the service by dialing the number anytime during the week. Pass this news on to those you know who may need this service.

Zoom Virtual Connect Groups
We have many weekly Zoom Connect Groups throughout the week. We want to encourage you to go against the natural tendency to withdraw during a crisis.  We need each other.  You will see life when you seek to connect with God and His Body. And there's something about seeing each other's smiling faces--no masks needed! Go to vvinfo.org/vgroups to see the different groups available.

Let Us Know if You Have Prayer Requests
Prayer is a high value at the Vineyard and we take prayer requests seriously. We do take time to pray for all the needs. If you have prayer requests, you can text the word PRAY to 818-776-9696 or go to vvinfo.org/pray

The Vineyard Website Has a new Look!
We invite you to visit our new website. You can now check out the online services, connect to the different Zoom groups, read our new church blog, you can give, and you can look at different ideas about how you can impact your neighborhood.
Go to valleyvineyard.org and check it out!
