As
COVID-19 continues to disrupt our lives, the removal of trash and recyclables remains essential services for public health and safety. We are most appreciative of front-line workers out collecting, sorting, and processing regional recycling as well as those who service residential trash collections in our region.
Our
residential trash and
recycling collections remain on regular schedule. As we move into Phase One, please take the time to review guidelines for items that can/cannot be placed in your
trash or
recycling containers. The
CVWMA website as well the
locality website where you reside has all of this information.
Keep gloves, masks, other PPE out of recycling bins. Do not litter these items either and instead bag these items and dispose of them properly by following local and Center for Disease Control guidelines. We want everyone to stay safe and well.
With so many families still at home, now is the perfect time to remind you that your recycling is helping in the fight against COVID-19. There is a critical need for all raw materials in the manufacturing supply chain, especially paper and cardboard. Recycled materials are key for everything from making new products to boxes to ship products and other essential supplies for the everyday needs of hospitals, grocery stores, pharmacies and American homes.
