5 Ways Boating Cures the Blues

Educating Boaters
& Fostering Community

Here in Southwest Florida boating isn’t just a lifestyle, it’s a passion that brings us together on and off the water. And whether boaters realize it or not, it takes a village to keep our boating community going! So, we’re taking a closer look at two local organizations that support boaters and make significant contributions to our area’s marine industry through education: Edison Sailing Center and Fort Myers Technical College. Find out how they’re helping our favorite pastime thrive.

5 Ways Boating Cures the Blues

Navigating Thunderstorms

It’s about that time of year again when boaters in our area can expect a downpour almost every afternoon. On land, a small thunderstorm may not pose a major safety threat. However, the same storm can cause a life-threatening situation on the water. Check out our helpful tips and make sure you know the boating dos and don’ts for weathering our summer storms.

How You Can Help Protect Boating Access

Dockside Dining

When it comes to dining out, we’ve all relied on a lot of drive-thru and deliveries lately, but us boaters have another option. Dockside service! While restaurants are beginning to open up and outdoor seating is a good option, dockside dining is maybe our new favorite way of staying safe while refueling for more fun in the sun. Check out our waterfront dining map to find a boat-friendly eatery near you.
