The Joy of the Lord is Our Strength

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord , Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Psalms 121:1-8 NKJV
This psalm came at a time I was going through nightmares and flashes that just made me unsettled.
I needed this to stop, I stuggled within my thought until I allowed the Holy Spirit to talk to me through this psalm.
King David at some point acknowledged the awesomeness of God in His life, all the battles won, all the breakthroughs and victories. He acknowledged God as his help.
So I turned to God also to be my help, to deliver me from nightmares, to keep me safe, to help me, to restore me. I stopped trusting too much in people because the ones that were closest in times of trouble end up failing but the only one that never fail is God.
God said, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 NKJV)
He also promises divine preservation , divine exemption from all evil; that if He can keep a nation( Isreal) ; how will I be an exception? He is too Great and Mighty to deliver and preserve.
Another assurance in this psalm is to keep evil from me; and at this point I knew I had won the battle over evil premonitions/nightmares. All I need is to have knowledge of His word, declare His word, believe in the efficacy of His word and the power that His word carries and act according to what the word says.
You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.
Job 22:28 NKJV
I now walk in victory and no matter the challenges that comes my way, I know God's love will give me victory. I just keep declaring His word; praying His Word back to Him; that He will preserve our going out, coming in and will not let the sun strike us by day, nor the moon by night.
Devil can only try; he will never win because I have the secret in my hands, mouth and heart. I just keep declaring His word.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
John 15:7 NKJV

Prayer-
Lord, You are my source and shield. You are my shelter in time of trouble. You hide and protect me from the enemy. You lead me by the still waters. You restore my soul. You are my strength and comfort. You are my very present help. There is none like you in all the earth. Heaven bows down to You. Your Name is great and I submit to You. No one can compare to You. Your throne sits high above my storm and shields me from unrighteousness. You are my King and I surrender to You forever.

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

nor the moon by night.

1 Levanto os meus olhos para os montes
e pergunto:
De onde me vem o socorro?
2 O meu socorro vem do Senhor,
que fez os céus e a terra.
3 Ele não permitirá que você tropece;
o seu protetor se manterá alerta,
4 sim, o protetor de Israel não dormirá;
ele está sempre alerta!
5 O Senhor é o seu protetor;
como sombra que o protege,
ele está à sua direita.
6 De dia o sol não o ferirá,
nem a lua, de noite.
7 O Senhor o protegerá de todo o mal,
