As if this picture of two penguins taking in the Melbourne skyline together wasn’t cute enough, a volunteer who cares for the pair has revealed that they are in fact widowed friends who regularly comfort each other. The snap was taken by Tobias Baumgaertner who waited three days to capture the magical moment on film.
Any cat owner knows that no matter what expensive bed you buy, your cat will always want to get comfy in a random cardboard box. So imagine how excited they’ll be when they hear about Samsung’s new eco-friendly TV packaging, designed to be quickly and easily transformed into a feline palace.
Looking for some crafting inspiration? These woodland creatures may look like they’ve wandered out of a fairytale forest, but they’ve actually been made by a talented Russian felter named Yulia Derevschikova

Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blache
Narrated by Jody Foster with wide-ranging interviews from Ava DuVernay and Geena Davis to Ben Kingsley this film explores Alice Guy-Blaché - the most famous filmmaker you may have never heard of. By many accounts she is not only the first female director but perhaps the first fiction film director of all time. She would go on to make over 1000 films that enjoyed tremendous praise in her native France and later in the US when she immigrated to head her own studio. Sadly, her achievements have mostly been lost to history. Given the #metoo and #timesup movements, one can only imagine how different our industry and world may have been had the legacy of this progenitor of cinema been acknowledged.

He filmed the results with a motion-controlled webcam and uploaded the subsequent silliness to Facebook.
