Atlanta, GA – Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta is continuing its distribution of hygiene kits and food to help those who face hardships during the outbreak. The organization has partnered with places of worship to help those that face additional challenges in seeking assistance due to limited English proficiency and immigration status, among other cultural barriers.
Organizations and volunteers have teamed up for a second round of its mutual aid effort to provide over 500 hygiene kits, in-language information, and food to provide assistance to those hardest hit by the crisis. Kits will include essential items such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizers, hand soap, masks, disinfectant, along with food and information about the changing election and census dates.
To better serve and help the members in the community that faces challenges from COVID-19, Advancing Justice-Atlanta is working with six places of worship to disseminate the kits to the community members.
These mutual aid drops are not open to the public, they are for the communities these institutions serve. For assistance and questions about Advancing Justice-Atlanta’s Mutual Aid, contact us at jwoo@advancingjustice-atlanta.org
