In March, the GAA, SuperValu and Centra came together to launch a new initiative, to support the elderly in communities during COVID-19 ‘lockdown’.
Its aim was to help those elderly that had no family and friends around to support them. An urgent appeal to GAA Clubs across the country, to volunteer to be part of Club Together was made – Cuala was one of a number of clubs across Dublin that answered that call.
This week we passed 1,000 deliveries.
While Cuala teams have not been able to play matches or meet up for squad training sessions the Club Together initiative provides a welcome opportunity for players to give something back to their community.
Last week's offering of Braveheart went down a treat and this week we bring you one from the Ladies with Jess Tobin starring as the Bride to be in the Cuala Oskars version of Bridesmaids.
Watch out for Dervla Madden's star turn after a little bit of food poisoning as well. It's non-stop fun you know...
Our club has a long and proud history. There is a great overview of where we have come from and some of those that have lined out in red and white on the Cuala website and what better time to connect with the past that shapes the future.
Next week's Lotto jackpot is €4,100 If you're not in you can't win.
Last Sunday night's numbers were 7,8,9,20
The Lucky Dip winner who will have €100 posted to them was Sheila Carey
ONLINE RESOURCE FOR COACHES
There are lots of online coaching services which may be worth a look. Take a leaf out of Sean Brennan's book from this week's Cuala Stories and see if there is anything from other sports that might be of interest.
SHUTDOWN
All social activities at the club are suspended until we get through this. Stay safe, stay apart, stay home as best you can.
