WE ARE A-MAIZE-D!

To Our Wonderful Supporters & Friends,

Wow. We are totally blown away! We wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has donated to our Covid Response initiative.

🌟You've given a whopping $5965 🌟

This is enough to provide food and tele-therapy for 59 families for an entire month! Can you believe it?

Our team and our clients are so grateful, and we just wanted to let you know that we've started the long process for getting these much needed nutrition packs out to families.

What's in the packs?
The Ugandan essentials! Maize flour (to make posho - a thick carbohydrate rich dish that is high in fiber and energy), Nutrient-Rich Porridge, Rice, Cooking Oil, Soap and of course, Sugar (sugar is often seen as a necessary part of any gift)!

Our team has also be hard at work - if they aren't doing needs assessments, sourcing food for our nutrition packages, or rallying local authorities to co-ordinate deliveries, they are on their phones conducting tele-therapy sessions with as many of our clients as they can.

In a time where lockdown has disorganised much needed routine and check-ins, Laura (one of our clients who has suffered a traumatic brain injury) recently said: “[Tele-therapy] helps me to remain organized because we have sessions on Tuesday and Friday so it helps me to know what I need to do and when to get my work done. I am able to see where I need to improve. I’m happy with the things we do and I’m grateful for you guys. Thank you for not giving up on me even when it was hard."

Of course, none of this would be possible without YOU, our wonderful supporters and friends. Thank you for coming on this journey with us. Thank you for giving, for praying and for believing for great things. Your generosity and kindness has made such a difference in hundreds of lives. just like Laura's, and we are forever thankful.
