New normal, that is.

The reality is that we’re all working out what this post-COVID life looks like. You and your customers have to evaluate, sometimes on a daily basis, if “business as usual” is the right step. Fortunately, whether you’re pivoting and changing how you operate to best serve your stay-at-home, curbside pickup clientele, or you’re opening the doors and creating a safe, reassuring in-person shopping experience, there are still plenty of opportunities for your business to thrive.
 
Last month, we focused on innovative ways people are pivoting, finding out-of-the-box ways to stay connected with current customers and to keep reaching out to new ones. We can definitely still help with that!
 
Now, with businesses starting to open, let’s consider how to step up the in-store environment so that shoppers — and employees! — feel protected and want to keep coming back.

Of course, you’ll need to determine which protective products make sense in your space: you may not need sneeze guards, for example, but having branded masks on giveaway can make your visitors feel cared for (especially if they forgot to bring one along for that quick errand). It’s also a subtle way of encouraging mask-wearing if you don’t want to take the step of requiring them in your shop or office.
