This newsletter is going to start the same way the last one did - we are into yet another month of self-isolation and mandatory closing of essential businesses. While some businesses are opening, the art world is not. With that comes another round of art show closures or postponements.
Some of the shows I had been scheduled to appear at for the months of June, July, August and September; the Derry Homegrown Farm & Artisan Market, the Artisan Market at the Mills in North Andover, the Bucksport Art Festival and the Art in the Park in Keene have all been cancelled.
The Artist Cottages at Orleans Square in Orleans, Massachusetts has been rescheduled for the end of August, pending the State's re-opening rules.
Uncommon Art in Goffstown, Greeley Park Art Show in Nashua and the Haverhill Arts Festival are still on, for now. Please stay tuned to one of my social media pages or my newsletter for any updates.
-----------------------
Some good news; my July residency at The Switchboard in downtown Haverhill, Massachusetts is still on! Some modifications have been made to keep myself and patrons safe along with complying with state laws.
With that being said, lots of great things will be happening during the month, such as; a free weekly childrens colored pencil class via zoom, a free adult colored pencil workshop via zoom, and a weekly 'Tina Talks' via Facebook Live or Zoom to ask me questions.
We are also hoping to have a YouTube cam, 'Tina TV', so you can tune in and watch me work on a colored pencil piece, riveting as it is - don't forget to bring your popcorn!
An Artist Reception will happen around the middle of the month. Logistics are still up in the air; it may be on Facebook Live, it may be a pre-registered time sign up with no more 10 people in the gallery at a time, or it maybe both. The Facebook Live option will be great for those that live far away, but still want to be 'there'.
Throughout the month, gallery viewings, with all my artwork, prints, and notecards will be available, at this point, by appointment only.
