MONDAY UPDATE - ALERT LEVEL 2

Dear Parents / Caregivers,

My thanks to all for our first full week back from lockdown, in Alert Level 2.

The boys were well behaved and respected the need for social distancing where practical and the increased hand washing and santising throughout the day.  Their pleasure at being back on site catching up with their friends and classmates was obvious.

Extra-Curricular Activities
Planning is well underway to get our Sporting and Art programmes back on track to ensure our boys get to experience many of the opportunities we offer here at Tauranga Boys' College.  In this Friday's newsletter I hope to be able to provide detail of the projected programme, dependant on what the Alert Level restrictions allow us to do.  We are very aware of the financial impact of COVID-19 on a number of our families, and we want to ensure all our boys can access these opportunities.  So if your son is keen to be involved in any sport teams or arts activities, please tell him to discuss this with the teacher / coach / manager as we have organisations willing to ensure all boys are able to access opportunities and no one misses out due to financial reasons.  These organisations are the TBC Old Boys' Association, Titans Sports Council and the Arts Council.

Drop Off and Pickup at the College

A reminder that all parents should remain in their vehicles when they drop off or pick up their sons, this includes for classes / sports practice or cultural activities.  Spectators are not permitted on school sites.  All visitors to the college are required to sign in and out at the school office to facilitate contact tracing should it be required.

Kind regards,

Robert Mangan
Principal
