Downtown Victoria's Business Buzz: What you need know when doing business in downtown Victoria.

Hello members, happy Monday.

The City of Victoria, the DVBA, and others collaborated to design standard signage for businesses to print and use. The goal is to support businesses and provide consistent, professional signage to enhance customer confidence. Click here for more information.

City of Victoria COVID Signage Business Toolkit

In order to assist businesses with reopening as safely as possible, the City is providing a small toolkit of resources to help establish confidence in businesses that are practicing physical distancing, taking hygienic measures, and are generally exercising the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The toolkit includes occupancy signage, a checklist of COVID-related measures your business is taking, as well as files for poster/floor stickers that can be taken to many local printers for easy production and use.

Covid Temporary Extension Application

The BC Government recently released the Covid Temporary Extension Application to support B.C.’s licensed establishments in safely reopening for business while respecting the physical distancing guidelines outlined by the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) orders. This new authorization permits food primary, liquor primary, and manufacturer licensees (i.e., wineries, breweries, distilleries) to temporarily expand their service areas until October 31, 2020.

VIATEC "Back to the Office" Handbook

Our friends at VIATEC created a big, beautiful employer handbook for returning to the office. We suggest reading through, as there are many valuable suggestions and guidelines for anyone returning to the workplace. It even includes a master checklist for re-entering the office.
