Many non-profits and charities in Guelph and Wellington County will need your help in the coming months as programs begin to open.  At this time PIN will continue to highlights organizations and their roles currently listed on our database.  Check our database often.  We update our volunteer opportunity database as programs and services change and re-start.

*NEW Program* The Church of the Apostles is looking for Kitchen Bees Cooks to help prepare food including soup, frozen dinners & sandwiches for some of our most vulnerable community members. Volunteers are provided a clean and sanitized kitchen and they work only with people that have been quarantined with during the shut down. The church has all the ingredients ready to go based on and agreed recipe. The volunteers do the cooking in our public health inspected kitchen and are supervised using social distancing by the Kitchen Bees Facilitator.  Click here for more information and to apply.

Habitat for Humanity Wellington Dufferin Guelph is looking for Volunteer Drivers and Community Ambassadors. As a volunteer will be asked to support our ReStore team in providing an excellent Donation Pick-Up Service experience for our donors. Full orientation and training on our vehicles is provided.  Previous experience driving a straight truck is highly valued for this position. Click here for more information and to apply.

*NEW Opportunity* Up and Running Guelph is seeking a Member of the Board's Fundraising Committee. Volunteers will work with Up and Running's Fundraising Committee to review our financial needs, develop a fundraising strategy, and research and develop fundraising initiatives for Up and Running Guelph.  They are looking for people who love working as part of team, know the community well and can help develop partnerships, enjoy researching and writing grants, and are creative thinkers.   Click here for more information and to apply.
 
Pet Protect Guelph is looking for Pet Foster volunteers to provide a caring temporary home.  Duties include caring for a cat or dog, providing daily exercise and enrichment or taking pets to their vet appointments.  Click here for more information and to apply.

*COVID Volunteering* Family Counselling and Support Services for Guelph-Wellington, Distress Line Program is seeking Distress line Volunteers to engage with distressed community members through our telephone services and provide them with emotional support using a solution-focused practice and in accordance with ministry and agency regulations. The Canada Summer Jobs program aims to provide quality work experiences for youth and opportunities for youth to develop and improve their skills.
