Dear Class of 2020 Graduates and Families,

We are pleased to share with you that we will be hosting graduation in the parking lot of Orange Lutheran High School on Friday, July 10, 2020 and on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Graduation will exist as a drive into a reserved spot and view from your vehicle event. In order to allow for a positive viewing experience and due to space limitations presented in this special format, we are honored to offer two ceremonies at 6:00 pm on July 10 and July 11.

It is important that we provide graduates and their families the opportunity to indicate their preference for which date they would like to attend, and to have the opportunity to discuss the two date options with friends and other families of graduates. Parents, along with input from their graduating senior, will be asked to choose which ceremony they would like to attend on a first-come, first-served basis. Graduates choosing not to participate will also be given the opportunity to indicate this. If the number of graduates participating is fewer than the eligible number of graduates, and if space permits,  then a decision may be reached to consolidate the two dates into one graduation service on one date.

To ensure equitable access to the submission form link, the form will not begin accepting submissions until 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26th.  Please reference the additional details that are listed below.

Additional Details:

  • Reservations will be required and each family name will be on a list upon entering with a corresponding reserved spot.
  • Graduates must arrive in the same car as their parent/guardian.
  • One car per family will be allowed (motorhomes, buses and oversized atypical vehicles will not be permitted- your vehicle must fit in one standard parking space.)
  • To provide the best locations for viewing the service from your vehicle, a staggered parking will be in place for each family car.
  • The graduation ceremony will also be viewable from strategically placed large screens in the parking lot.
  • The majority of the graduation service will be presented live and some content may be presented in a pre-recorded format on screens due to the limitations of the current environment.
  • A live-stream of the service and corresponding link will be made available for those unable to attend.
  • Students will be escorted from their cars to the podium, where the student’s name will be called and they will walk across the stage to receive their diploma folder.
  • Students will have their photo professionally taken after receiving their diploma folder.
  • In alignment with previous graduations, students do not receive their actual diploma at graduation, just the diploma folder. In the past, graduates would receive the actual diploma in person in the days following graduation on campus, but given our current circumstances, diplomas will be mailed to the home of each graduate.
Contingency Plan:
Should environmental conditions and restrictions change, resulting in our inability to host this special graduation service on July 10 & 11, 2020, we are prepared to provide a limited and modified opportunity for our seniors to arrive on campus at individual pre-designated times to formally receive their diploma and be properly recognized. We don’t anticipate that this will be needed, but we felt that it would be important to have a backup plan in the event of this becoming an unfortunate circumstance and reality. If needed, this would occur on July 18, 2020.

Please find the link to the Graduation RSVP HERE
Available today at 3:00 pm. One response per family.

RSVPs must be received by July 1, 2020

The originally scheduled virtual graduation has been replaced with an on-campus Finishing Lancer Strong Parade on Sunday, May 31st.  This will be a school-wide celebration beginning at 4:30 pm for Freshmen, 5:30 pm for Sophomores, 6:30 pm for Juniors and the grand finale beginning from 8:30 - 9:45 pm for Seniors. Students will receive an email with a requested time of arrival to help regulate traffic flow and allow everyone to enjoy the celebration.
