Cocktails & Mocktails with Curators Recorded Webinar
with special guest artists Margery Amdur and Diana Baumbach
Cocktails & Mocktails with Curators is a recorded Zoom Webinar event that was live on May 6 at 5:30 p.m. During this happy-hour version of Conversations with Curators, participants were encouraged to imbibe with a favorite libation from their home kitchen, or a delectable curbside concoction. The event featured artists Margery Amdur and Diana Baumbach, along with Katie Christensen, curator of education and statewide engagement for an informal conversation about Material Slip. The recording includes a short video walk through of the exhibition and sneak peak of Amdur's studio and current works in progress. Participants were invited to ask questions through a Q&A function via ZOOM webinar. The event was Free and open to all.

Honoring Our Ancestors Lesson Series

This lesson accompanies the Artmobile exhibition, At Work and At Play.
An "ancestor" is any person you have descended from, like a parent, grandparent or great-grandparent. Ancestors can also be any elder that has passed their wisdom to you, like a foster parent, mentor, or teacher. Follow this series to create a portrait of an ancestor and share their stories through your art.
Follow this weekly series to create a portrait of an ancestor and share their stories through your art. This is an opportunity to honor their work, talents, and skills, and perhaps share some cherished memories too.
Check back to learn how you can submit your story portrait for a chance to be featured in an upcoming post. *Select submissions may also recieve a special gift from the University of Wyoming Art Museum.

Art-Making Activities for all ages
Animated Drawing, Inspired by William Kentridge
Led by Ross Everett, Teaching Artist
Teaching artist Ross Everett shares his animated drawing inspired by famed South African artist William Kentridge. Ross uses the camera app in his Android-based smart phone to create a time-lapse animation seen in the video. You can also check out iMovie, Stop Motion Animation (free app) or using the timing functions on a presentation software like Power Point or Google Slides or Presentation.

Virtual Summer Art Camp
Join us for 4 weeks of virtual art camp this July and get a Museum Family Membership for a whole year!
This year we are hosting a special virtual art camp for families.
Who: recommended for families (ages 6-15) or team up with friends if you feel comfortable and safe.
