NoHo is among the neighborhoods that have suffered the least human toll among NYC neighborhoods; between residents, closed College campuses and shuttered businesses, it also has a high rate of people who have moved out of the City to escape COVID-19 affects.
This doesn't mean that we will escape some uncomfortable cures on our road to re-imagining our cherished mixed-use character or the economics that have helped our neighborhood thrive in the past. We are closely following residential and real estate impacts as well as all aspects of restaurant and retail support and recovery and will share whatever substantive information we find.
Community Talk on Opening NYC Streets for Socially Distanced Dining this Friday, May 26th at 12:00 PM. As we start thinking about what reopening our business communities might look like, the city will need to allow our restaurants to operate in new ways moving forward. Speakers include NYC Council Speaker Corey Johnson, City Council Member Carlina Rivera, and Executive Director of the NYC Hospitality Alliance Andrew Rigie. You can join the discussion by registering here.
