Online community and resources are more important than ever right now. We aim to keep you up to date on how COVID-19 is impacting our members and community. We are also sharing inspiring news putting people and planet first; these stories will help get us through these times.

HEAD START - What's happening now

How COVID-19 Will Shape a Generation
We have undoubtedly entered a new era of looming unknowns and new normals, from record unemployment to face masks—an era to be further shaped by our youngest generation. As such, we’d be wise to consider what today’s children can tell us about the future.

Tomorrow (Thursday, May 21), Tonya Surman, CEO of the Centre for Social Innovation, will sit down (virtually, of course!) with Bill Young, President of Social Capital Partners, for our first edition of Next Economy Conversations. Join us!

CSI SOLUTIONS: Putting people and planet first

This week, on land north of Toronto that previously burned in a wildfire, drones are hovering over fields and firing seed pods into the ground, planting native pine and spruce trees to help restore habitat for birds. Flash Forest, the Canadian startup behind the project, plans to use its technology to plant 40,000 trees in the area this month. By the end of the year, as it expands to other regions, it  will plant hundreds of thousands of trees. By 2028, the CSI Earth Tech venture aims to have planted a full 1 billion trees.
