Coronation Member doing a good deed by making masks
Meet Virginia. Virginia is a Coronation Advisory Committee member who is putting her time to good use by making masks to help protect people from COVID-19. Virginia's friend Linda approached her in March asking if she would be interested in making masks with a group of her friends. Virginia jumped at the chance and first started making the masks for local seniors' homes. Shortly after Linda was contacted by the cancer centre in St Catharines hospital requesting the group make masks. This meant a lot to Virginia, as she has a PhD in cancer research, and cancer runs in her family. At the same time, Virginia decided to contact her friends from the fitness classes at Coronation as well as the Advisory Committee to see if they needed masks. To date, she has made 109 masks for Coronation affiliates and more than 800 for Niagara and St Catharines. Virginia also wanted to say a big THANK YOU for all of the donated material. 'We have an amazing generous big-hearted Niagara community'.
Thank you Virginia for your time and efforts.
