HOME: a Virtual Exhibition

More work has been added to The People's Art Fair HOME exhibition, and we are still accepting submissions! Visit prsc.org.uk/paf-home to view the online show, or if you're passing by the Stokes Croft China Shop you'll be able to see a selection of the pieces in our window.

Bristol Food Union

Today the Stokes Croft Food Project delivered their first batch of meals to the Bristol Food Union, an informal collective of restaurants, food businesses and community organisations that have come together to ensure that the city of Bristol stays fed during the Covid-19 crisis.

For those of you looking to support local businesses, the Bristol Food Union have also pulled together a comprehensive list of over 100 food and drink suppliers in the area, from staples such as fresh veg, bread and meat, all the way through to cider, craft beer and takeout!

Message from Bristol City Council

In the past week we have noticed less people are making requests for volunteer or emergency help. Please be assured that if you need help we have a large support network and volunteers ready to deliver food, help with shopping, collect prescriptions, befriending and so much more.

It is really important to stay at home if you have been told you need to shield, or if you are unwell. Please stay safe and at home and contact our We Are Bristol Freephone helpline if you need support - 0800 694 0184.

Mental Health Awareness Week: BE KIND

Looking at pictures of cute animals has been proven to lower levels of stress and anxiety, and improve moods, so here are some goslings! We realise that it's not quite that simple for everyone though, so here are some resources that might help if you or someone you know is struggling.

Bristol-based musician Nuala Honan has just released an episode of her Phonin' with Honan podcast, busting some myths about people with schizophrenia/personality disorders/mental illness through a candid conversation with her brother.

Talking Virtually

As bars and pubs are still closed, School of Activism alumni TalkBox have moved their events online. We're looking forward to Future Digital Ethics: Corona Virus, Contact Tracing, Robots & AI - the virtual event kicks off at 7.30pm next Wednesday 27th May. Click here to read more about it and buy tickets.
