Warmest Greetings!

I hope this email finds you in good health. If you are experiencing early summer, wherever you are, despite the unprecedented times we all find ourselves in, I hope you are making the most of the sunshine and time you have.

While we can not control most things happening around us, one thing that we can - is our health. Now is not the time to give in to bad habits because you may be stuck at home.

Whilst there is a belief going around that we need to be kind to ourselves (absolutely!) and that part of it involves not putting yourself under pressure to look and feel your best and to come out of the lock down healthier and fitter than you came in - I hope you do not mind if I disagree and find this very unhelpful.

I would rather appeal to the warriors within us who understand that, whilst everything else is out of our control, one thing that IS within our control - is how we respond to the circumstances and part of that is - how we continue to treat our body. Being kind to yourself also involves and does not exclude - being kind to your body, because body is an integral part of you.

And now is perhaps even more important to treat it with the respect it deserves by giving it the rest, activity and nourishment it needs. Protect your body and your immune system as the very first line of defense against infection and disease, so, you can give your body a fighting chance rather than just leaving your health and healing ability to chance!

If I was at the start of my journey and did not have all this knowledge already about nutrition and body-mind connection, but I wanted to improve my health - I would surround myself with the community of people who know more than me and who would help improve my knowledge and inspire me to be better; I would subscribe myself to the best nutrition resources to learn about the body, I would make a plan for myself and my family and stick to it. I would not wait for the things to change.

For things to change - I have to change; for things to get better - I have to get better! Famous words by legendary Jim Rohn.
