Back to Training News

Dear Soccer Community,
In light of the latest easing of restrictions, many of us are wondering if this will mean a return to soccer.
FV (Football Victoria) has set 28th June, the first weekend of school holidays, as a tentative date to start competition.
VCFA (Vic Churches Football Assn) says it will wait to see the state government’s next announcement regarding Covid-19 on 31st May.
Yarra Ranges Council, who we lease our grounds from, are working on cleaning protocols that would have to be met BEFORE we start training. These are due in the next week. Until that’s done, we cannot use toilet or other facilities.
Old Emerald Rd and Moore’s Rd remain closed for training.
You can read FV guidelines here https://www.footballvictoria.com.au/return-football?utm_source=Full+Victorian+Club+List&utm_campaign=1362cf894d-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_04_18_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0851e09313-1362cf894d-257193529
Some requirements are that only 10 people are allowed at one time on a half pitch, and no player can pick up a ball or touch a team mate. Balls and training kit must be disinfected after each session and a register must be kept of who attends.
Monbulk Rangers committee has decided to wait until the announcement on 31st May before deciding whether to commence training.

We will not be able to finalise a membership fee structure or due date until we have confirmation from both FV & VCFA of their intended fees and fixtures.
We welcome any questions and will do our best to answer them with the information we have at hand.
If you have already decided you won’t play this season, please let us know via email to info@monbulkrangers.org.au
