Funding: Up to $20,000
This funding stream supports the short-term recovery & resilience of the forestry, horticulture & agriculture industries in NSW impacted by the bushfires from 31st August 2019. Aquaculture businesses whose properties or aquaculture leases were affected by bushfires are eligible, including those impacted by ash & fireground runoff. Eligible projects include activities that address or respond to the impacts of bushfires, such as:
- the purchase of oyster spat to replace oysters that died due to ash or runoff from firegrounds
- repair or purchase critical infrastructure such as shellfish cultivation equipment, pipes, pumps and tanks to support business recovery.
The grant is being managed by the Rural Assistance Authority with the intent to enable future production and support job security.
Please note that matching co-contributions are required, however this may be cash and/or in-kind (eg. labour, vessel / equipment use, time etc.). More information is available here.

Funding: Between $50k and $10m
This funding stream supports the medium to long-term recovery & resilience of forestry, horticulture and agriculture industries in NSW impacted by the bushfires from 31st August 2019.
Funding is available for projects that focus on job creation, increase value-add production, support supply-chain efficiencies, product diversification and market expansion. Matching co-contributions are required, which may be cash and/or in-kind. This grant scheme is being managed by Regional NSW. More information is available here.
There is already talk of packaging a number of projects together as part of a sector development grant application for the oyster industry. Last but not least, NSW Farmers is inviting bushfire affected primary producers to apply for a $3,000 grant from the NSW Farmers Bushfire Relief Grant. Whether you had country, infrastructure, or livestock damaged or destroyed, or your farm business was significantly impacted, this grant is designed to assist with your bushfire recovery.
