News and Events

Big Church Day In!

This weekend would have been Big Church Day Out, held each May in the grounds of Wiston house, West Sussex. A big group from All Saints was booked to go, but like many other events has had to be cancelled due to coronavirus. But, there is still an opportunity to experience something of Big Church Day Out – from the comfort of your sofa, tomorrow Saturday and Sunday 24 May when a number of Christian artists are performing from their own homes! If you haven’t been and wondered about going this is a great opportunity to have a taste of what it’s like. You don’t even have to camp! Although, if you want the full experience you might want to camp in your garden. We think we might!

Can you lend us this book?

Tiger@Ten Book Group hope to read A Town Like Alice by Nevil Shute in June. Does anyone have a copy of the book on their shelves? Could we borrow it to return later in the month? A thank you in anticipation.  Lindsay Norris and Gwen Griffin

Bakers Required!

The Tiger@Ten support team is volunteering to help support the village care homes by providing cakes each week. These were originally provided by members of the WI, now unable to do so. We are looking for additional bakers to make one or two cakes per month. They will be collected from your doorstep and delivered to Walstead Place, Compton House, Crossways and Summerlands care homes.
If you would like to volunteer please contact:

All Saints Mission Support

Please continue to pray for our Mission Partners who, like us all, are impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Coronavirus is spreading among the world’s poorest communities and All Saints Mission Partners need extra prayer and financial support at this time.
This week's Mission Partner Focus is Five Talents (Anglican microfinance charity working in marginalised communities of the world).

These are the prayer points:

Give thanks and praise for the many ways Five Talents’ members are using their resilience to help themselves and their communities:
for those who are delivering soap
for those who are sharing good health advice
for those who are making and distributing face masks
for those who are caring for the weak and elderly.

Pray for strength and protection in face of the coronavirus:
for Five Talents’ members vulnerable and afraid in the face of this pandemic
for all those who have lost their livelihoods, that their needs may be met
for all those who are exhausted physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually by lockdown
for Five Talents’ programme staff as they continue to support Savings Group members
for Five Talents’ staff teams in East Africa, the UK and US, that they may know God’s hand on their work.
For those assisting in obtaining access to water

In addition please pray for:
the people of Burundi that there is peace and stability as their ballots for their next president and for leaders of their National Assembly are counted
Five Talents’ clients in Kasese, Uganda, whose businesses have been washed away by the third flood in six years and that the government keep their promise of diverting the river that causes the flooding.
