The moment that we've been waiting for is finally here - the Council's 1st-ever Virtual Gala, and its 23rd Annual Slough Celebration! Dress in your Friday finest and tune in at 5:30pm tonight on our website!
What can you expect with the "live-ish" Virtual Gala tonight? Great question! You will have not one, but two chances to win wine and Council swag by participating in Slough Trivia, led by our Education Director. You will hear directly from volunteers, our Executive Director, and board members; learn about this year's Henrietta Award winners; and get a few useful paddling and planting tips from staff.
This is an uncertain time for many nonprofits, as many funders have postponed or canceled their typical grant cycles. The fact is that we need our community’s financial support to keep us working for the watershed. In a typical year, the Council would have already held our annual Slough Celebration Gala, through which we raise vital unrestricted funding for environmental stewardship, education, and equitable access to nature. If you are in a position to make a contribution to the Council, we would greatly appreciate the support.
