The Anglophone Africa Communication and Coordination Platform on behalf of Community Rights and Gender department (The Global Fund to Fights AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria) hosted by EANNASO brings you a practical guide on: “Implementing and Scaling Up Programs to Remove Human Rights Related barriers to HIV Services” developed by Frontline AIDS.
The guide is to support civil society and communities in implementation and expansion of programmes to remove human rights-related barriers to HIV services ‘leaving no one behind’
The Global Fund is pleased to partner with GIZ BACKUP Health and Frontline AIDS to produce
this guidance for those implementing and scaling up programmes to remove human rights-related barriers to HIV, TB and malaria services. The Global Fund has long promoted the right to health and a rights-based approach to the three diseases, and continues to do so. As one essential part of this, the Global Fund has committed in its strategy, Investing to End Epidemics, 2017–2022, to make human rights practical and programmatic in national responses to HIV, TB and malaria.
The guide is very key and timely for countries that benefit from funding specifically aimed at the removal of human rights-related obstacles to health services, and that affected communities benefit from greater and more equitable access to the health services they need.
