Joyful Journaling Prompts

Last week, Julie Herzog brought us a wonderful message on journaling as a way to press in to and hear from God in a very personal and impactful way.  Fortunately, we don't have to reinvent the wheel to figure it out.  Julie's message and this week's daily devotionals focus on the journaling "how to" process from the book, The Joyful Journey: Listening to Immanuel, by James Wilder, Anna Kang, John Loppnow, and Sungshim Loppnow.   Find Julie's blog on  journaling at vvinfo.org/journal

Daily Devotionals:
Unless You Become as a Child

Be with us on Facebook and YouTube Monday through Friday, May 25-29, at 9 AM, next week, for our continuing series of Daily Devotionals called, "Unless You Become as a Child." We have so much entering our minds during this time.  Allow the Word of God to enter your mind in the morning before turning on the news or watching a movie. Join us as we pursue intimacy with the Father.

Find these at https://vvinfo.org/fb and www.vvinfo.org/YouTube.

Zoom!
Girlfriends Bible Study and Craft Morning
Saturday, May 30, 10-11:30 AM
Deadline to Register: May 28

We're excited to invite you, ladies, to a relaxed morning in community on Zoom.  We will have a brief Bible study on the current week's sermon, prayer time, and a directed craft activity.  Join us with your Bible, your favorite morning beverage, and your craft supplies.

Registration closes May 28.  Once you register, you will be sent the Zoom log-in information, the Bible study verses we'll look at, and a list of supplies needed for our craft, probably all things you have at home already.

Register here:  vvinfo.org/girlfriends
Info here:         annettegrable@valleyvineyard.org

We've gotten some of our supplies for volunteers who will serve at our upcoming Drive-thru Pantry.  We are working on getting more plus the food we want to distribute weekly in the main parking lot with strict safety procedures in place, once we open.  We are looking for volunteers to help one day a week for a few hours.  Also, contributions to help bless our community are welcome and appreciated. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused job losses and uncertainty about food supplies for a lot of people.  Our drive-thru food pantry will attempt to address those needs by offering our neighbors a modest supply of groceries for their families while the Shelter in Place orders continue.

Manna Ministry
This will be a companion ministry to our ongoing Manna Food Bank, which continues to operate on Saturdays and always welcomes donations of nonperishable food items: pasta, pasta sauce, boxed macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, canned veggies, canned fruit, canned meats, cereal, nonperishable milk, etc.  You can drop these off during office hours, Tuesday - Friday, 10 AM-3 PM.

Valley Vineyard Helpline
We care about our Vineyard Family and want to be available.  We have a helpline and team ready to reach out.  Call us or text the word HELPLINE to 818-776-9696 if you need help with getting groceries or picking up prescriptions. You can also go to vvinfo.org/helpline to reach us.

Live Phone Stream--A way for all "To Attend"

We are excited about a new service we are offering people who do not have internet at home. They can still join in and enjoy the Sunday services through a mobile phone or home landline. Simply dial the toll free number 844-988-8814 at 10:45 AM on Sundays. They can also call in advance and press 1 to get a call when the Sunday service goes live. If they miss the service at the time when it is live, they will still be able to listen to the service by dialing the number anytime during the week. Pass this news on to those you know who may need this service.

Zoom Virtual Connect Groups
We have many weekly Zoom Connect Groups throughout the week. We want to encourage you to go against the natural tendency to withdraw during a crisis.  We need each other.  You will see life when you seek to connect with God and His Body. And there's something about seeing each other's smiling faces--no masks needed! Go to vvinfo.org/vgroups to see the different groups available.

Let Us Know if You Have Prayer Requests
Prayer is a high value at the Vineyard and we take prayer requests seriously. We do take time to pray for all the needs. If you have prayer requests, you can text the word PRAY to 818-776-9696 or go to vvinfo.org/pray
