Splendid Isolation of the Karoo

Welcome back! We've been away for a couple of months, hard at work on a new book project that has taken us around the world - mostly via Skype, in this crazy locked-down time.

We have followed the chatter on social media, spoken to our city friends, and are feeling the cabin fever ourselves. It seems everyone, including us, is hankering for the Karoo. We can see the mountains from our office window in Cradock - but we can't get there yet.

True survivors, with big hearts in hard times, the people of the Karoo have been working on their small business skills, their digital outlets, and, because many of them are farmers, putting food on the national plate as well.

So we thought: if you can't visit our vast open spaces yet, why don't we bring them to you?
