Greetings From the Principal

Dear Parents and Families,

The school year is starting to wrap up, believe it or not, and we want to ensure that the students finish the year strong.  We can help do that with some reminder items for you.  June 1st will be our last instructional and our last Flex Day.  This means that Elementary students will have their final Specialist Day on June 1 and Middle School students will have their final check in from their Advisory Teacher on June 1.  There will be no required instruction June 2nd, June 3rd, June 4th, June 5th, June 8th, or June 9th.  Teachers will be preparing closing activities for students during those dates.  We do encourage all students to participate in these end of year activities and an attendance question will be provided.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held for Elementary students June 2nd-June 5th, 9:00am-12:00pm.  Parent Teacher Conferences will be held for Middle School students June 2nd-June 5th, 9:00am-2:00pm.  Please see sign up information below.
And lastly, we want to end the year with a bang, or a virtual bang!  We will be celebrating Kindergarten promotion on Wednesday, June 3rd, any time between 3:00pm and 4:00pm.  Ms. Slayton and Ms. Walker invite you to join us on campus with a curbside car parade.  They will direct you where to go in the parking lot here on campus.  We ask all families to remain in their vehicles.  Students will receive a small gift and token of their promotion.
8th Grade Graduation-How do we commemorate our 8th graders that we have watched grow and prosper these last set of years?  We want to do our best to congratulate our 8th graders and do the best we can to celebrate each one, even during this time of Distance Learning and learning the disappointing news that the Capstone trip had to be canceled.  That was really difficult news to take in.  So we will do our best to celebrate you.  Each 8th grader should have received a Washington DC sweatshirt last week.  These are light blue and very cozy!  Next, we have ordered signs for each of your homes to celebrate being a Seven Hills 2020 graduate.  Our goal is to deliver these signs to you on June 1 through the Distribution car and bus routes.  We will share the graduation ceremony video with all families in time to view the video Monday, June 8th, at 6:30pm.  Then we invite all families to join us and the Middle School teachers and staff for a car parade the next day, June 9th, anytime between 3:00 and 4:00pm here on campus.  Students will then receive their 8th grade promotion certificates.
We continue to deliver a lot of information so thank you for trying to keep up.  We will send similar updates next week so that you do not miss anything.  Please reach out to our child’s teacher if you have any questions!
Please read updates below.

Sincerely, Ms. Farrell
