Washington Youth Offering Goal:
$25,000 for May

Through all of the disruption and disappointment of this pandemic we believe that God is up to something at Sunset Lake Camp. Camp director David Yeagley says: "Our plans are changing but our ministry will continue to move forward."

Yeagley is hoping to raise $25,000 in this month's Washington Youth Offering to help fund an extraordinary summer with six young adult staffers who will be engaging with previous campers online (and as public health guidelines allow) offline in kid- and family-friendly activities.

Sabbath Afternoon Hike Options

Your immediate family is invited to Sunset Lake Camp on Sabbath afternoons from 12-7 pm to hike one of two unique, self-guided Sunset Adventures.

The Hidden Life of Trees: Prayer Path Adventure – This short 1/3 of mile walking loop will feature seven prayer stations that will teach about the wonders of the forest and give families opportunities for learning, sharing and praying together.

The Tower Trail Treasure Hunt – On this mile-long trail are hidden at least a dozen objects that don’t belong. Check the items off your list as you hike and see how many other amazing discoveries you’ll make as you keep your eyes open in the natural world. This experience will be great for kids.

Hiking guides for both adventures will be available on the porch of the gym. Sunset Lake is following state coronavirus guidelines for operating State Parks No restroom facilities or buildings are open. No picnicking. Bring your own water. Rangers are on duty in case of emergency. Donations to Sunset Lake's ministry are always appreciated.
