AWB's Rebound and Recovery Effort Launches Next Week
Local chambers encouraged to participate
AWB's Rebound and Recovery campaign kicks off next week, and the Grassroots Alliance can help get the word out to employers across the state.

This campaign will be anchored by a new website with two main sections.

The first section will offer a manufacturers directory for businesses to find the personal protective equipment(PPE) they need in order to open safely. The second part is a toolkit for businesses to reopen, including signage, employee and customer communications that can be customized depending on circumstances.

We'll share the website as soon as it goes live next week. In the meantime, we're still looking for manufacturers of personal protective equipment.

Please share this survey with your members. Feel free to use the text below. The message starts here:

Dear members,

Washington needs manufacturers of personal protective equipment (PPE) to help our businesses reopen safely. The Association of Washington Business is building an online directory of PPE manufacturers. The directory will connect these manufacturers with businesses that need to buy masks, hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes and more to open again, safely.

If you're a manufacturer of PPE, you're invited to complete the following survey. The survey asks for basic information and what kind of products you make.

Access the survey here.

SBA Releases Loan Forgiveness Rules for Paycheck Protection Program

The U.S. Small Business Administration has released the application that business owners will need to file in order to receive loan forgiveness as part of the Paycheck Protection Program.

The application includes options and instructions for calculating payroll and other costs, and other requirements.

Employers should work with their lenders to submit their loan forgiveness application, an SBA spokeswoman told AWB earlier this week. The agency will issue additional regulations and guidance on the application soon.
