Guardian Angels exists to reach out from the Altar of Christ to educate, serve and evangelize.
May 22, 2020
Greetings!

This past week was our final week of “Emergency” Distance Learning. We are very proud of the work our students, parents and teachers have done during the past several months. Their dedication, perseverance and trust in God has been inspiring. We give thanks for all of the prayers, hours of volunteer work and support the parish has given to Guardian Angels School.

As the 2019-2020 school year comes to an end, we are already making plans for the 2020-2021 school year. We long to see and welcome back all of our students and families.

We have already begun preparing for when our school can all gather again inside our doors. The reopening of the school building will be guided by CDC, MN Department of Education in collaboration with the Archdiocese. The staff will be working on establishing clear guidelines and expectations for both the GA school staff, students and parents along with the Faith Formation programs. At this time, no one other than GA staff members are allowed into the school building.

Our plans will consist of three scenarios for the fall: Plan A - all students and staff are in the building, Plan B - some students and some staff are in the building while others are doing Distance Learning, and Plan C - all students and staff will be doing Distance Learning. These plans will cover everything from transportation, the entrance into the building, sanitation, health screenings, and instruction in and out of the classroom.

How can you help?
Please continue to pray for the health of everyone in our GA family along with prayers for the growth and development of our GA parish and school.

Masks - We will be in need of masks for our students (small/medium sizes) and staff. We are thankful for the ones that have already been dropped off by GA angels. There will be an increased need for more in the fall. Any masks can be dropped off at the school or parish offices.

Please send all teachers and support staff prayers of thanksgiving and strength as they finish off one of the most historical endings of a school year.

**Watch for a second email from the office on free Covid-19 testing this weekend.

Congratulations to Clayton Forner, former GA student, on becoming a priest!

We have a special request.  Clayton Forner is being ordained in Rome at the end of the month.  We would like to send him homemade cards of well wishes and congratulations. If your family could make a card Fr. Deziel would like to send them all bundled together.  You can drop it off when you bring back your school books and laptops.  Thank you so much!

Crowning Mary

The Eighth grade students did an excellent job of honoring Mary, Wednesday, at our annual May Crowning ceremony.  Mr. Maxwell planned and Fr. Deziel participated in the event. The singing and the Bible quotes by the eighth grade were beautiful.

Thank you, everyone!
