European Excellence in Sustainability Sharing Session on Green Finance - 28th of April 2020
On the 28th of April 2020, we held a European Excellence in Sustainability Sharing Session on Green Finance (100 attendees) in collaboration with SwissCham Singapore. During this fully subscribed webinar, we had 6 fantastic speakers and panelists from the financial sector.  Presenting at the event were 3 EuroCham members; from ING (Herry Cho), alongside Swiss Re (Ieva Segura Cobos) and the World Gold Council (Andrew Naylor). We also had non-profit and governmental representatives as panelists, from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (Gillian Tan) and the World Wildlife Fund (Helena Wright). The event was in cooperation with the National University of Singapore, and their associate professor Dr Johan Sulaeman moderated the session.  We thank all participants for their insightful contribution to the discussion and a special thank you to the EU Ambassador to Singapore, Barbara Plinkert for conducting the welcome remarks.
Growing Asia's Infrastructure - 29th April 2020 

On the 29th of April 2020, we explored the topic of "Growing Asia's Infrastructure in the next decade" in a webinar with speakers from Infrastructure Asia (Seth Tan), One Works (Giulio De Carli), EDHEC Infra (Frederic Blanc-Brude),  and a panelist from BNP Paribas (Bruce Weller). Sharad Somani of KPMG kindly moderated the conversation, which covered some aspects of how the infrastructure industry will be impacted by the present pandemic. 

 EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance - 14th of May 2020
In collaboration with the EU Delegation to Singapore, EuroCham Singapore and its board member and Vice President Philippe Van Hoof had the honour of hosting a discussion with Dr Mario Nava, on the topic of EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance.  Click on the link above to hear what Dr Nava has to say about how the taxonomy caters for countries and regions that are in different development stages if you were unable to attend or missed the webinar on the 14th of May 2020. 
 Industrial Policy and AI -  18th of May  2020
18th April, 2020: Artificial Intelligence is a burning topic today due to its widespread implications on our industries - in collaboration with the EU Delegation to Singapore, we had Dr Eric Badiqué (Adviser for Artificial Intelligence at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology) present the White Paper on AI along Isabella Pirolo (International Relations Officer at the EU Delegation to Singapore) who spoke on the Industrial Policy. Dr Antonio Feraco, Chair of the EuroCham Digital Economy Committee, moderated the discussion and Nele Cornelis made the closing remarks. 
European Excellence in Sustainability Sharing Session on Sustainable Food & Nutrition
19th of May 2020
The 5th European Excellence in Sustainability Sharing Session (Sustainable Food & Nutrition) was held on the 19th of May 2020, in collaboration with The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, and with ESSEC Business School Asia Pacific.

Deputy Dean, Professor Aarti Ramaswami joined us for the welcoming address, and Associate Professor Arijit Chatterjee moderated the session. The webinar included three insightful presentations from the industry; Danone (Pascal De Petrini), Friesland Campina (Petra Dekker) and from Sodexo (Roshith Rajan). Two additional panelists joined us for the Q&A discussion, from Alcimed (Bettina Hudry-Gerez) alongside World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) (Melanie Levine, Global Agribusiness Alliance). 
 Sustainability in the Supply Chain - 21st of May 2020
EuroCham and our supply chain committee came together to host a webinar on sustainability in the supply chain on the 21st of May, 2020.

Joining us were fantastic supply chain professionals and researchers, Oscar Mauricio Cifuentes Quin (Wavin), Professor Mabel Chou (NUS Business School), Michelle Santoso (Glaxo Smith Kline), David Patrick Ringrose and Deepali Gulati (DHL supply chain), and the discussion was moderated by the chair of our supply chain committee, Prateek Jain (Unilever). 
Current market situations, business outlooks and what else lies in the shadow of COVID-19, 27th of May 2020
27th of May 20: European business organisations around APAC who are part of the European Business Organisation World Wide Network (EBO WWN) organised a joint webinar event about current market situations, business outlooks and what else lies in the shadow of COVID-19, covering six markets in APAC.  Eleven speakers represented the European Australian Business Council, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, The European Business Council – Japan, The EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, European Chamber of Commerce (Singapore), and the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan, including our executive director Nele Cornelis and president Federico Donato.
The impact of COVID-19 on intellectual property owners in Singapore - 27th of May
On the 27th of May, EuroCham hosted a webinar together with the South-East Asia Intellectual Property Rights Small & Medium Enterprise (SEA IPR SME) Helpdesk, about the impact of COVID-19 on intellectual property owners in Singapore. Wai Yeng Chan, an experienced patent attorney and IP expert spoke at the webinar, with our executive director Nele Cornelis presenting EuroCham (Singapore).
EuroCham Sustainability Business Classes  - 28th of May
The EuroCham Business Classes are back! We kicked off our first class out of four sustainability-focused classes, on May 28th, with a webinar on setting the stage for sustainability as part of an effective system. These classes are in collaboration with ADB-DutchCham, and Global Reporting Initiative joined us with Michele Lemmens and Julie Rezler for this first session to teach our participants all about sustainability reporting. Thank you to Michele, Julie and our other class participants.
