Some of you may have received phone calls from a member of our congregation as we launched a friendly check-in phone tree this week to build out how we do our pastoral care. That way we will all feel a little less isolated. If you haven't received a call yet, you will! COVID19 has upended how we do life and Memorial Day is no exception. Even though most in person events are cancelled to protect the public health, there are still ways to honor service members and frontline heroes who have lost their lives. You can be part of community service efforts (like our food drive!) or pray for peace and healing. This has been a difficult time of uncertainty, but God’s mercy abounds. Let's continue to take precautions, remain hopeful, full of faith and empty of fear. Let's care for our friends and family as well as those on the frontlines, the children, the vulnerable, the homeless, and the stranger.
