Town of Raymond Public Lands Phased Reopening

Dear Residents,
Although we still have not made it through this pandemic (which will be with us for the foreseeable future), there is a need to live life and responsibly enjoy our freedoms; this includes our Public Lands.
Please keep in mind; the decision to reopen Public Lands is based on beliefs in these freedoms and trust in our community that each one of you will take the appropriate procedures to keep our most “at-risk” residents safe.
In addition, each resident will need to evaluate your own personal and family risk factors when deciding to use these areas.

Effective noon today (May 22, 2020) the alterations to Public Lands will be in affect:

This is the first phase in reopening Public Lands, and this is being done in partnership with our community.  We respectfully ask all residents use their Public Lands in a respectful and safe manner so we can move forward to lifting additional restrictions.
In order to safely move forward and lift other restrictions we ask all of you to please:
  • Follow the guidance provided
  • Please do not put our Law Enforcement at risk by not following State and Local guidance
  • Keep our Public Lands clean (address all trash by using a carry in, carry it out approach)
  • Please, find appropriate restroom facilities when needed (none are provided)
  • Please be selfless in your actions; there are many who this virus will not impact; however, our efforts in prevention are intended to protect those who are high-risk.  Following the guidance provided, may save a life of and elderly resident or those with underlying medical conditions.
  • If you are high-risk, live with, or routinely interact with someone who is high risk, please understand there is an associated increased risk with these activities
  • Lastly, please enjoy your Public Lands and let us once again set the example for other communities to follow.
Respectfully,
“Joe”
