WindRunner A Finalist in CAL Writers Awards
I am thrilled to announce that WindRunner, the second book in my series The Dragon’s Children, is a finalist in the 79th Annual Colorado Authors League Writing Awards.
On June 7th at 8:00 p.m. CAL will host a virtual awards ceremony- the first ever in the organization's 89-year history. Each spring since 1942 CAL has recognized multiple works across several different categories and genres and one author with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The ceremony will be broadcast in a live FaceBook Watch Party on the CAL Facebook page as well as being made available on their website coloradoauthors.org and YouTube channel.
More than 90 CAL members submitted published works for consideration of this year's writing awards. WindRunner is the story of the second son of the Duke of Red Dragon’s Keep. Racing to find a piece of the Talisman that will call the Dragons of legend, Owen Arach must learn to ride a magic WindRunner, brave Dark Fey, close a Rift into another world and battle Demons sent to kill them all while confronting his own jealousy and envy. Will the Forest Lords come to his aid? Can he find the amulet and save Aos Si? Can he save himself?
