What is happening? Atmosphere and Covid-19: An update

Currently, our beautiful Island of Negros is still not accessible for tourism, and resort, diving and F&B operations are suspended countrywide. As we are waiting for the go ahead, we are focusing on planning our future re-opening and supporting the Atmosphere team - we are very excited to safely see you here again! We have aimed to contact all guests with bookings until June 30 and offered various options for rebooking. If you have not heard from us, please contact us via enquiries@atmosphereresorts.com. Our reservations team is available 7 days per week 8am-5pm local time by phone, and emails will be answered within 24 hours. We hope to be open again by July but we have to wait for flights to resume operations. For future bookings, we offer generous rebooking and payment options. See “terms & conditions” for details, the link can be found at the bottom of the website.

Help us help Atmosphere's staff

The staff at Atmosphere is what makes our guests' stay with us so special. During our temporary closure, we have set up a fundraiser with the aim of raising 1 million pesos.
We have managed to secure two months of financial support from the government, and Atmosphere has privately distributed money and food. However, with the insecurity of how long support will be needed for, we would be immensely grateful for any donations. For those of you who can contribute more, you will receive 1 room night in a Deluxe Suite for donations of 10,000 and above and 2 room nights for donations of 20,000 pesos or more. The room nights must be added to an existing or new booking of a least one night and come with additional T & C but we hope that it will encourage you to donate – and to come back to Atmosphere!

Enjoy a luxurious escape away at Atmosphere Resorts & Spa
As of writing this newsletter, we still have no certainty of when we will be allowed to open Atmosphere’s doors, rooms and restaurants to the public again. Our goal – if the Covid-19 situation allows it – is to open at the beginning of July and for our re-opening we are excited to release our “Atmosphere Luxury Escape”. Valid for two months after our re-opening, experience Atmosphere for 3 nights/4 days including pick-up in Dumaguete, breakfast and sumptuous a la carte three course dinners for two guests, for 36,500 pesos. This package is valid any days of the week in a Deluxe Suite room and subject to availability. A larger room type is available for an extra fee. Just finished: The extension of the dive centre

At Atmosphere we are proud to have such a spacious dive centre, situated right at the heart of the resort with large briefing areas, two guest equipment rooms and four rinse tanks. However, by utilizing the open space between the dive centre and the bakery, we have taken the opportunity during lockdown to create seating areas for divers going on or coming back from dives, and doubled the amount of rinse tanks to better cater to underwater photographers. Who wouldn’t want a sturdy bench with space for the dive tank to lean against at the end of a fantastic dive on our house reef?

Many of you have met Ulrika and Ollie during your time in Atmosphere or at a dive trade show somewhere in the world. None of them will be attending any trade shows just yet, but hopefully they will go guns blazing as soon as international travel picks up again. Oliver “Ollie” Mischo has been managing some of our biggest sales regions for the past 4 years and Ulrika Kroon has been in charge of Marketing & Branding since 2013. With Ulrika now heading the whole Sales & Marketing department, we are excited that Ollie has stepped up into the role of International Sales Manager. They are both keen to get out on the road again but for now, they will be happy to answer emails about International Sales at oliver@atmosphereresorts.com and general Sales & Marketing concerns at ulrika@atmosphereresorts.com.

Social distancing made easy at Atmosphere

When Atmosphere opens its doors to guests again, we are acutely aware that health concerns and social distancing will be on our guests’ minds. The “new normal” will undoubtedly mean that guests will wish to keep a larger distance to people not within immediate family or social group, and ensure that amenities and resort areas are clean. Fortunately, at Atmosphere, social distancing is easy.
Whilst we are waiting for the official government guidelines for adapting Atmosphere to Covid-19, we can promise you the following:

  • With a resort size of 3.7 hectares, space is on our side! We will initially only open a limited number of rooms, to ensure space between guests and no sharing of terraces.
  • Both our restaurants are open air and there will be plenty of space between tables, as well as dining in separate sittings. We also have many options for lovely Al Fresco dining on your own terrace, on the beach, by one of the three pools or in our private tree house.
  • Enjoy your private pool that you will not share with others! Our Premium Pool Suites gives you complete privacy – if you wish you could add on a private butler service to your stay, thereby enhancing your privacy further.
  • We have three pool areas, including one adult-only pool, and the number of guests around each pool will be very limited.
  • At Atmosphere, guests have the option of availing of all our services privately. Your own private airport transfer, boat trip, excursion, dive guide, dive course, yoga and fitness.
  • We will follow the local directives given to us by the department of health and publicise them as soon as we have them.
