Dear eProgress Newsletter Sign-up

This week is national #VolunteersWeek and we would like to say a huge thanks to our residents who selflessly dedicate so much of their time to help others in our community especially during these last few difficult months. THANK YOU!

Another celebration this month is Sussex Day on 16 June. Normally there would be events in the community to mark this date and celebrate all things Sussex but as that is not possible right now, we have launched a Photography Competition, read more below.

Our colleagues at Arun District Council are working very hard with local businesses to get them and the Town Centre ready for the possible reopening on 15 June, this is subject to the five tests being met and to businesses being able to operate Covid secure. We are certainly looking forward to seeing more of our traders and supporting them in these hard times.

At an Extraordinary meeting of the Town Council, support was given to the proposed Public Realm improvements and a decision was made to retain the Town Clock. You can read a press release highlighting the key decisions here and watch the meeting recording here.

A Councillor vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the Beach Ward of Littlehampton Town Council. You can read more here.

Please remember that we are still here for you and you can contact us via email or visit our website for information.

Changes to Guidance

Changes to regulations mean that groups of up to 6 people can now meet outdoors but stay at least 2 metres way from others. You can have unlimited exercise. If you are unsure of what you can and can't do the Goverment has a dedicated page for FAQsVisit GOV.UK for guidance and support. Check the NHS website if you have symptoms.

How to ask questions

Even though we are now running our Committee meetings remotely the public can still ask questions. Simply submit your question one clear working day before the meeting by email us. All our committee dates can be found here.
