Dear SHOUT OUT Team Members,
Spring is in the air and our Program Team (or some of them) have arrived. This year, we were only able to hire our Coordinators (and have committed to continuing Leadership training online for the rest of the team).
After a week of work, we’re excited to announce some of our new program options for this summer. Though online events can in no way replace the in-person relationships of attending a program at Kuriakos, we hope that these options will maintain the valuable connection you have with Kuriakos!
- Facilitated by Rev. Julianne Barlow
- Theme is "All Things New: New Shape", based on Luke 5: 1-11
- (our Bible Study Passage from Tuesdays in 2013!)
- Adults of all ages
- Cost of $50
- Choose either June 28-30 or July 3-5 (same content offered twice)
- Ages 14-18
- Cost of $50 (camperships available… but we want folks who are committed to learning!)
- July 20-31 (weekdays, 2hrs each day)
- Training is for young leaders in your community
- we will cover leadership topics relevant to both camp and home
- there will be new topics, so this training is also great for those who have attended LIT in the past
- Complete our LIT training and be a volunteer with us next year!
- Successful trainees receive a certificate
New videos will be posted on our YouTube channel and social media each weekday. Cue them up for your kids, or watch together as a family!
- Mondays - Kids/Youth Bible Study with Travis
- Tuesdays - Coordinators’ Choice (they’ll come up with something awesome!)
- Wilderness Wednesdays - Nature, Camping and Outdoor Skills
- Thursdays - Adult Bible Study with Bishop Telmor (live at 9am)
- Fun Craft Fridays - Elanor will lead crafts for all ages
In addition, we will host bi-weekly campfire + worship and other occasional gatherings.
Kuriakos Gear Store
- We’ve designed special clothing just for Summer 2020!
- Order by June 28 to be included in this batch (more available later this summer)
Thank you for your continued support. Please let us know if we can offer any other information for your role.
